LEEDS 2014

'It was about 2 in the morning and we were camping in Yellow Bubble at Leeds festival 2014. We had had such a good night and everyone was making their way back to the tents to chill before going to bed. We were all sat around just talking and sharing stories and enjoying a drink and chilling. We heard ruslting and chatting of people around us talking, everyone winding down for the night.

All of a sudden a mate of mine starting humming quitely. He was humming the hymn Kum Ba Ya. Everybody just went quiet and looked at him. Another one of my friends started singing along quitely until next thing you know our whole squad was singing along in our tent. We heard neighbouring camps starting to sing a long as well and before you know it a little band of tents in the corner of Yellow Bubble was singing along.

It started to spread. Next thing you know pretty much everyone everywhere was singing along to Kum  Ba Ya. It was one of my favourite festival experiences just to hear everyone coming together to sing a hymn before we went to bed,'

KUM BA YA

BANANA GUY

LEEDS 2014

'it was the last night of Leeds 2014 and I remember losing my phone whilst waiting to go out with all my friends so I said I would catch them up after I had found my phone. I did not end up finding my phone but did get given a banana costume off my neighbour beforehand.

I made my way out hoping to find my friends but did not. Instead I danced all night at Relentless and after previously finding out about my good GCSE results I was over the moon and made a lot of friends. Eventually I made my way back to camp before leaving for home the next morning.

When I got hoe I was on Twitter and was following a "Spotted Leeds" page (one where people post stuff they saw) and saw a tweet about me. It said "last night we found a 16 year lad dressed as a banana at Relentless celebrating his GCSE results". I Tweeted him back and eventually it got onto the LadBible.

I never did find my phone but I sure as hell found something I'll remember forever.

WASP

LEEDS 2015

'We were at Leeds 2015 and it was around the 3rd day so we were all starting to get pretty dead. We were all just chilling round the camp waiting for music to start and just chatting.

My mate, called Josh, was making noodles in a boiling pan when a wasp flew into the water and died. Everyone was just sitting around looking at it and then Josh offered one of my mates a beer if he ate the wasp. We were all sitting round thinking that it would just not happen and how weird it actually was.

Next thing you know hes got the wasp in his hand and downed it with a beer. Nobody could believe their eyes. Someone actually ate a dead wasp for a beer! Definitely one of the weirdest sites of my life.'

MET MY WIFE

BEATHERDER 2015

'we set up camp at Beatherder every year with the same people we met a couple years prior. There was this girl there who I really liked every year and we always waited a year to see each other.

We'eve known each other for years now from going to the festival and about 2 years ago we ended up dating. We were so happy but it was horrible having to go home and not see each other. We started driving to meet each other but it was grim having to travel loads.

Last year I asked the question

She said 'Yes'.
